the earth is listening 2024

the earth is listening is a construction of natural elements; a synthesis of the abstract with the organic that touches on the space of uncertainty as the paradigm we live within. Suggestive of the void this work speaks of the unknown and also possibilities – a space to ruminate, reflect and consider solutions. The natural element is a force, both receptive and giving; destructive and creative, whilst generous some things are non-negotiable as we navigate a changing reality of home, land and place.
the earth is listening was commissioned for the group show Places and Spaces, curated by Dan Toua, Canberra Contemporary Art Space.
